FEW OF THE MAJOR SHIRK PRACTICES AND ITS RULING




Assalamu alaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh, 

A community of people invokes help from other than Allah.
They commit a major Shirk (associating others with Allah in His Divinity or worship that takes the Muslim out of Islam).

Seeking help from someone who is absent or dead.
It is a major Shirk (associating others with Allah in His Divinity or worship that takes the Muslim out of Islam).

Seeking help from the dead.
It is a major Shirk (associating others with Allah in His Divinity or worship that takes the Muslim out of Islam) as it is a seeking of help from other than Allah.

Invoking others such as Awliya' (pious people) and righteous people instead of Allah.
It is a major Shirk (associating others with Allah in His Divinity or worship that takes the Muslim out of Islam).

Invoking the dead and the absent like prophets and Awliya' (pious people).
It is a major Shirk (associating others with Allah in His Divinity or worship that takes the Muslim out of Islam).

Anyone who calls upon the Awliya' (pious people) and invokes their help when afflicted by some misfortune.
It is a major Shirk (associating others with Allah in His Divinity or worship that takes the Muslim out of Islam).

Seeking the help of the dead or absent living beings from the Jinn, angels, or humans.
It is a major Shirk (associating others with Allah in His Divinity or worship that takes the Muslim out of Islam).

A Muslim says when standing up or sitting down: "O Abu Al-Qasim, or O Shaykh `Abdul-Qadir".
It is a type of major Shirk (associating others with Allah in His Divinity or worship that takes the Muslim out of Islam).

Beseeching anyone other than Allah for help, for recovery from a sickness, to make it rain, or to prolong someone's life.
It is a type of major Shirk (associating others with Allah in His Divinity or worship that takes the Muslim out of Islam).

The Muslim Mukallafs (those who are legally accountable for their actions) who consider vowing and slaughtering sacrifices for the dead is permissible.
Holding such belief is a major Shirk (associating others with Allah in His Divinity or worship that takes the Muslim out of Islam).

Seeking help from the Awliya' (pious people), shading their graves, and considering them as intercessors to Allah.
It is a major Shirk (associating others with Allah in His Divinity or worship that takes the Muslim out of Islam).

Ruling on seeking help from the Awliya' (pious people), circumambulating their graves, seeking blessings from the stones thereof, and vowing to them.
It is a major Shirk (associating others with Allah in His Divinity or worship that takes the Muslim out of Islam).

Vowing to other than Allah.
It is a major Shirk (associating others with Allah in His Divinity or worship that takes the Muslim out of Islam).

Prostrating and slaughtering animals on graves.
It is an idolatrous habit and a major Shirk (associating others with Allah in His Divinity or worship that takes the Muslim out of Islam).

Offering sacrifices to the Jinn, to please them and in return seek fulfillment of demands or to ward off their evil.
It is a major Shirk (associating others with Allah in His Divinity or worship that takes the Muslim out of Islam).

A woman or a circumcised person wearing a bar of iron for bringing benefit or removing harm.
It is one of the types of major Shirk (associating others with Allah in His Divinity or worship that takes the Muslim out of Islam).
